Not So Fast, Dr. Evil

On his January 24, 2019, radio broadcast, and in regard to New York's passage and celebration of legislation to allow for unrestricted abortion and even infanticide, Rush Limbaugh reiterated the vexing question as to why the Left pushes for and champions that which is utterly evil. The answer is simple, though impolitic to express: the Left is of, by, and for Satan.

 

Limbaugh frequently and accurately observed that the Left is determined to destroy this nation as founded. The United States was founded as one nation, under God. Satan is at enmity with God, and he seeks to seize that which is under God’s grace and protection.

 

Satan can only gain the United States by marshaling his forces to remove it from God's grace. Satan knows that "the wicked shall be turned into hell [along with] all nations that forget God." (Psalm 9:17) God's law, in this instance and paradoxically, presents Satan with a golden opportunity to achieve his ruinous ambition.

 

Accordingly, Satan is utilizing his wicked forces, i.e. the Left, to turn the United States away from God. This effort, if successful, will ultimately result in the death of freedom, both at home and across the civilized world. For as Lincoln astutely observed, the United States is indeed “the last best hope of earth.”

 

These things are difficult to say; but they are easy to understand when we appreciate the broader context of the existential conflict. "For our struggle is not against human opponents, but against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly world, the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers of this dark age." (Ephesians 6:12)

 

Let us pray that we, as a nation and a people, and with God’s help, may be victorious.
